Hello, I'm curious if anyone has a current Porsche VIN lookup tool you could point me too? When searching the forums for this topic it looks like there were ones the were available a couple years ago, but the links no longer work. I suspect I'm out of luck but thanks in advance for any help!

Thanks neunfunfeins, here is the VIN:WP0AA0950HN1601. I took off the last 2 digits out of fear for my security, although I'm not sure how information about the car could violate my security. Thanks in advance if you are able to share the build info with me.

Airbags: It should have dual airbags but the VIN suggests it doesn't (maybe that's a 1987 VIN oddity).
Assembly plant: Neckarsulm (as they all were).
The next digit after 'HN1' should be a '5', perhaps you missed one?
Porsche can decode additional info from the VIN per their database. For the rest of us however, you would need the information from the build sticker in the trunk - it's inside the rear panel, behind the trunk carpet (unsnap it). It has the engine, trans, paint, interior, and option codes on it.

Thanks neunfunfeins. I believe the VIN is accurate they way I wrote it. It's a Canadian car if that makes a difference. Thanks for the info on the build sticker, I will look look for it.

US and Canada both use the full 17-digit VIN format so I should not have assumed this was a US car. My bad.
Once you find that sticker we can have some more fun

So... no airbags then?
