I was poking around under the glovebox with the DME spilled out onto the floor to scout out splicing something into some DME wires and I spied this connector not attached to anything. The thing that caught my attention is that it had some masking tape wrapped around it that said "behind glovebox at top" which I would been the one to wrap that tape around the wires and write that when I swapped a motor a few years ago to help me put everything bag where it belongs. I did some back diving under the glovebox but can't see any where that this would connect to.

Nothing plugs in to it. The connector itself clips on to the black bracket that holds the back of the glove box up (on earlier cars) but only to hold it out of the way. (If you ever add a knock counter, that connector has all the signals you'll need by the way.)

Also has the signal for the blink code. If you can find the corresponding male connector, it makes wiring both up really easy. I sourced my connector from Josh B.
