The windage ports are between 1/2 and 3/4 as these sets of pistons are moving opposed to each other, when 1 is TDC 2 is BDC. So they are moving air between each other.

Just saying the Alusil blocks do not machine like iron or aluminum. If the gouge is not too deep then sometimes you can get away with over sized rings.

The closer I look at that pic now on my pc instead of my phone I can see that the 2 to 3 wall is just the factory marking. anyone have dimensions on the windage ports that were put into the later blocks? ideally id like to make mine close to the factory size and location

it looks like the factory one was bigger than what the other pic shows, I think the other one was lindseys, not sure though.
