Not exactly a reissue of a factory part, but I wonder if this is the department we can request to have modern material rod and crank bearings produced.

Auxiliary water pump.

Also I've always presumed the batwing is NLA since I never see them anywhere. It would be nice to be able to get that. Same for the air box, although I don't suppose many people would buy that with all the cone filters out there.

How about everything?

One of the things that made companies like Porsche and Mercedes great was the ability to buy a turn signal for a 1979 300D or a TPS for a 951. More and more parts are becoming NLA... its sad.

Actually it looks like I was wrong sorry. I think I got mixed up because there was a much cheaper Mercedes version that you could use by just swapping the connector, and I think those are NLA.

Batwing ($347), aux water pump ($212) and airbox ($348) are all still available new from Porsche
www.sunsetporscheparts.com

I bought a new airbox and coolant tank in January - pricey, but a new coolant tank really upgraded the engine bay, and an air-box with functioning fasteners is a joy.

I don't recall offhand, but some of the rear cargo shade parts are no longer available.

I submitted the TPS part # 95160611300 and got this response:

Thank you for your query.

The genuine part that you requested is currently available.*
Please contact your Porsche Classic Partner or Porsche Dealer to place an order.

*Subject to errors and changes.
EDIT...I checked the link someone provided to sunsetporscheparts and sure enough it shows as available there too. They're kind of expensive at 216 but I see Pelican is selling them for 260 and someone on Ebay has them for 245, so it's still the cheapest I can see.

More than a rumour. Prices shown on the Porsche website in the classic parts catalog.
