Default Short throw shifter

Anyone ever cut the stock shift lever to shorten it? I've seen other 951's with shortened levers. Any thoughts short of buying an actual short throw shift lever?

Get the Only944 shifter, linkage, and short shifter.

You're going to have some difficulty getting the stock shift ****/boot to fit on the shift lever if you cut it.

Notches top and bottom for the vibration dampers which fix/locate the shift ****.

Like this? This is in my race car not the turbo. I have a modified Hurst shifter ball that screws onto the threads.
