Default Oil pressure at oil/air cooler

How much pressure is the engine oil under when it goes through the oil/air cooler hoses?

I'm curious if the rubber oil hoses can be cut, a new oil cooler spliced in and secured by normal stainless hose clamps, without problems.

These engines run at 4.5-5 bar when cold or 65 psi to 72 psi. max.

I don't know about the 951, but on my Mercedes turbodiesel, I did what you're thinking of doing and it's been holding up just fine for years. The key is to use the right hose and the right clamps. I bought genuine Cohline oil hose (german OEM) in metric size and heavy duty constant torque clamps, and used two clamps at each point.
