'86 turbo rods were sintered? I thought they were drop-forged. If not, I stand corrected. Here are some pics of the '82 rods... they're stained from oil varnish (car sat from '99-16) but they cleaned up and measured in spec where it counts.







I posted on the 928 board and got a very informative PM from user ptuomov. He's running a 700+ whp 928 with the sintered rods, which are similar in design to the 944 ones. Coupled with the fact that Joshua at Rogue Tuning was making ~350 whp on cast rods before the engine popped a ring, this is case closed... I'm running them
