Default Front Fender Turbo Script

I have a factory Turbo script on my 89 951. Does anyone know how many cars came with this option, and was it "special" to the 89 model year. I have seen it in books, but never on an actual car besides mine. Any info greatly appreciated!

I keep debating as to doing this, I really like the look, but wonder how it would hold up in the sun.

BLACK would look GOOD on a black car. - I'm planning to do just that on mine when I get a repaint. It will be subdued and slick...

if i remember right, they came in two colors - silver and black. black on black - while not the OEM way to go - has potential. on a white car, i think the silver might look good...

Yep, they come in silver/white and black, available from your local Porsche dealer but cheap from Suncoast (no affiliation, blah blah). Suncoast will know the part numbers, I think they match the badging (black or silver). They get some attention, I was snoozing in my car between runs at VIR (parked next to Mike's car) and heard two guys arguing about whether they were factory.

I like it because it's factory rice. So 80s that I want to listen to Duran Duran and wear a Member's Only jacket. Then I get better.

There's also a Club Sport script that goes on the LH side, but since my car is pretty stock I thought that a bit much.

Does anyone know how many came from the factory with this option? My car was delivered with this script from the factory, not added. Just curious. Thanks!

It is still available in black or silver, but I have seen a red one on a "silver rose" '88 turbo S and a blue one on a "champagne" '88 turbo S ... ?

As far as I can remember it costs $75 by OPC.
