Default Teflon tape on fuel line connections?

Just wondering if anyone recommends using teflon tape on the threaded metal fuel line connections, specifically the backside of the damper and the shorty line that connects it to the front of the rail?

It's not a bad idea. Get fuel line tape... it's fuel resistant teflon.

Do not use teflon tape.

Fuel connections are compression fittings. There's a flare that pushes against a mating piece inside (kinda hemisphere shaped). This physical interaction is what creates the seal. Teflon tape is only for NPT threads. These are tapered pipe threads commonly used for house plumbing, etc. These tapered fittings rely on the male parts nesting firmly in the female part, so the tape is used to fill any gaps between the threads, so the liquid doesn't leak out.

Again, the fittings used for fuel systems do not rely on the threads for making the hermetic seal. Using teflon tape will do absolutley no good, will look silly, and has the potential to get inside the compression part of the fitting and cause parts "A" and "B" to not properly seal, thus creating a leak.
