So, I recently bought back one of,my old 951's off a friend of mine. I originally bought the car in 2000 and sold it to him in 2007. It has been a while since I have worked on a 951 so, I need a bit of help. When I built the car I installed a standalone engine management system and removed the factory engine harness, DME, and KLR completely. Is the wiring for the speedometer part of the OEM engine harness? The speedometer doesn't work and I am not sure if it is a gear or wiring issue.
The speed sensor is mounted on top of the transaxle. It has three wires going to it. It has nothing to do with the DME or KLR. Maybe your sensor is bad or there is a bad connection somewhere.

Is the wiring for the speed sensor part of the engine harness tho. I figured since I removed the entire engine harness, maybe I removed some of the connections that go to the speed sensor. I will check the sensor or possible the gears in the speedometer
