HOw do I tell if I have a k27/6 or 8
I have my turbo out and just rebuilt. How do I tell if it's a 6 or an 8? Also, there is no blue identification plate on the turbo. It's a PowerHaus.

And as a side note i'm thinking of changing up my exhuast what would you be willing to pay for a 2.5 inch test pipe that uses the factory down pipe with the cat cut out and the pipe welded in?

The pipe is 2.5 inches around, the welds look good, i'll get a picture of it for you, or i'll try to this weekend, I need to find the power cord for my digital camera.
i'm not sure based on serial number, i'm sure there is a way to do it, I'd be that its a 27/8 because when they do the conversion they normally use your stock turbo as the base.

With the turbo installed, there's no way to tell because the outside of the turbine housing is exactly the same. It's the size of the turbine wheel on the inside that determines whether it's a #6 or #8. With the turbo off, some people have had good luck by counting the number of blades on the turbine wheel itself (assuming it's the original KKK one). The other way is to measure the diameter of the turbine outlet. The #8 turbine has an outlet diameter that's about 10mm larger. Here's a picture:

I've got mine right in front of me. Also a Power House unit, (no tag) unfortunately I'm not positive on what type it is. But it has a #6 on the inside of the inlet, 12 blades on the turbine, and the outlet diameter is about 55~56mm. Oh and a K27 compressor, if it makes a difference.
I don't know if this will help you or not, but its at least it's a little additional info to base things off of.
