Default screws on the TPS

Gentleman,

As I struggle with the bottom screw from the TPS, I wonder, with all the foresight Porsche had in creating a machine as timeless as our cars, cars that look modern even after 15 to 20 years, why the heck did they use ?screws?....screws to hold the TPS onto the throttle body?

Anyone know where to get "bolts" to replace those pesky screws?

The only bright side is that at least the factory didn't use "rivets".

I was able to replace mine with a pair of metric allen head screws from Lowe's. They have 'em in a cool looking black anodized finish with the correct length and thread pitch, however you'll have to rummage through their fastener drawers. Anyway, the allen head screws makes the TPS a lot easier to adjust using a ball-socket allen key.

The whole throttle body is really quick & easy to take off so that you can access the TPS screws .
