Hey guys,
Pulled the wheels off my pride and joy tonight and checked shock numbers, but they don't match anything in the Parts and Technical Reference Catalog. My 43k mile, early 86 951 has sport shocks option code 474, which is the adjustable Koni Yellows. My car has Koni yellows on front with part# 951 343 031 02...this # isn't in the manual. On the rear, it has grey and black Sachs with #951 333 032 06. Neither of these are in the manual, and aren't on Pelicanparts or Autoatlanta. Any ideas? Thanks in advance to the expert who's got the answer.

Someone has replaced the rear shocks.
Sachs are excellent shocks, and are factory equipment on 968's.
They [Sachs] are a little less expensive than the Koni Yellows, and is probably why the PO installed them.
Personally, I like the Sachs better than the Koni Yellows.

I have the same 474 option on a 951 that I just got but I didn't see any provisions for adjustment. Am I missing something?
I'll check my shocks out for you tonight and let you know what my part numbers are.

Hey guys,
Yeah I figured out the rears had been replaced, but it was unexpected on my part as the cars mileage is so low. I did find the rears # on another website, they are for the 951 rear, just not the M474 Konis I should have. Jeremy, our M474 shocks/struts must be removed to be adjusted. Check the Koni website for "how to." Not as hard as it sounds. But I still can't figure out why my front Koni numbers don't match the Parts Ref Catalog.
