I have driven stage 1 vitesse car and my car 26/8 with 15psi of boost not that much difference in spool up time. vitesse is a to4e turbo.

Does anyone have a dyno with a TO4E Garrett turbo. Does this turbo have more turbo lag then the k27/8.

'86 944 turbo

You are asking the wrong question. The T04E is the compressor side of the turbo. It's the turbine side of the turbo that is 90%+++ responsible for how and when the turbo spools.

I'm talking about the turbo that well be coming with the guru 364 kit. Can you tell me what turbo it is, and how does it compare to other turbo's.

86-944-Turbo Guru kit will have a to4e that's my guess to make that kind of power.

My experience is that a K27/8 followed by a free flowing exhaust spools faster than a bone stock turbo S.

Ian Manning has a well-tuned and modded 951 with a Garrett T04E-50 trim. Full boost is about 3800 rpm (maybe earlier now that he has a full 3" exhaust.) Danno has his dyno sheet here. Look under forums/dyno charts/upgraded turbos. This chart was before the custom exhaust upgrade.
