Hatch pin alignment
The rear hatch was stuck shut on my '86. Unfortunately I had to crawl into the hatch bay and loosen the receivers to get it open. After cleaning and aligning the pins with hatch shut it works ok now.
The rod for the passenger side receiver lost the retainer on the lock mechanism so it is still binding a bit so I left that side loose. Where on earth do you purchase the retaining pin for the rod on top of the lock? For now I used wire but it will eventually come apart again. it is nice to actually have the electric hatch partially work again though. Sometimes it opens fully after 5 seconds with button depressed and other times it needs a little pull to get it open. the new hatch shocks help but it's not quite 100% yet.
