I would grab the turbo manual and do the test plan. It is expensive to throw parts.

fejjj, make a blink code tester, run the car, make it act up, and hook your tester to the diag port. Don't turn the car off before testing (no memory). This will at least rule a few things out.

Where is the test plan in the turbo manual?

Ok.

I have a Rogue tuning ECU and did not check the FQS switch position prior to installing it last month.

With Joshua's help we determined that the FQS position was 1 (+3%). I moved it to position ZERO and it was better. I changed it to position 2 (-3%) and now my AFR at WOT is high 11's.

I still have the engine cut at 5200 RPM (feels like hitting the rev limiter) so hoping someone has some ideas about that.

Update.

After putting in new Coolant temp sensor I still had a start/immediate stall event.

After changing the FPR and Dampener the start/stall issue seems to be solved.

After adjusting the FQS switch from +3 to -3, my AFR's are now acceptable.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to check next regarding the 5200 RPM cut?

Take a video showing what happens at 5200. Will it happen in the driveway if you rev it, or only under boost?

Hi Tom,

It only happens under boost.

Always at exactly 5200? Cutting out under boost-- with an otherwise happy engine -- is a sign of a weak ignition. How are your plugs, gaps, wires, cap, rotor, and coil?

Yes always at 5200.

Just put new BPR7ES gapped to .026

Wires replaced last year, cap and rotor 2 years ago.

What should I do next?

Is boost curve flat?

What happens to AFR when you get 5200rpm stumble?

Wouldn't I need a Dyno to view the boost curve?

I am not sure what the AFR is but it is more than a stumble.

The car will not rev past that point under boost.

I had stumbles a couple of times. Once it was water in the gas.
Did you buy gas recently? The other time the throttle body wore out. Just putting it out there as outlier ideas.

Fejjj, take it to a porsche mechanic - it will cost you less than throwing parts if you aren't a solid troubleshooter. No shame in that. You would have to provide to the group a lot of your own troubleshooting steps around fuel, fire, electronic before anyone here could possibly give you good guidance. Without this, it could be anything.

Have to agree with this. Just not enough to go on in terms of the problem you are having and (forgive me if I'm wrong) I don't get the sense you are doing any testing. If I'm wrong, post up what you've tried and maybe that'll help, along with a video of when it fails...

The problem is there is only 1 guy around me that knows anything about these cars and he rarely has anytime to work on my car.

With the guidance I have received from you guys, it looks as though 2 of the 3 problems have been solved.

I am looking for guidance as to what to ask a mechanic to test.

Any direction as to next steps to take so I can advise a mechanic would be appreciated.
