Does 36mm mean where wheel touches rotor?

Yes, from where the wheel touches the rotor to where the pad touches the rotor. As per your drawings in post #4 in your Cayenne adapter thread.

Nice. I don't have to ship another rotor.

We need to calc. Difference in pad sweep depth....
Edit....this will not change either.

Also, Take a close up pic of the lip where the centering ring will interface with rotor flange.

Yes, I want to confirm at least 2-3mm of flange will interface with ring.

Did you confirm the caliper dims match what I mic'd in other thread?

Ok gotcha, there is a wicked bevel on the inside of the rotor hat, I'll measure the flats and post a pic in a second. My calipers are 996TT calipers dude! I did get them off of a 997 though! Yes caliper dims are identical.

***OK it has about 2.6mm of flats to interface with the ring...***

Double check your hub ID.....
These rotors match the Boxster S hub ID so I have a tech drawing for those already....

Good #'s....
It looks like the offset difference between the two different adapters is 30 thousandths due to the extra 2mm thickness of the 996tt rotor.

I'll increase the BoxterS ring thickness dimension to 0.235"

I will make the rings 0.25" thick then. Just .make sure your wheels and hubs are absolutely clean before the ring install. I will have to order a different material for the rings, but the adapters will be close to the same dimensions as the Cayenne rotor swap, so Ill start on these this week. Just PM if You want a set on this run.
