Anyone use Lindsey Racing's? They are made from 304 stainless and have single piece flanges.

I am trying to get Yut to build me a new one but he is snowed under right now. The crossover is probably most vulnerable to temperature shifts from driving through puddles, wet grass and stuff. So it has a tendency to get work hardened through the heating and cooling cycles so they will crack where stress builds up most. I will take them off sometime this summer and see if I can stress relieve them by heating them up red hot and allow them to air cool.
Ah. The ones I bought were 321 stainless. Maybe I'll have better results

I think I would also say getting a custom header is your best bet if you know exactly what you want for your specific setup.

That being said I got the Lindsey Racing headers last year I like them alot, my porsche specialist shop that put them in said they were really impressed by the quality.

When I bought mine they only had the powder coated ones availible for the turbo model, so I got those... price was up there, but I could definitely notice a difference in throttle response in my at the moment completely stock 944 turbo(guess its not stock anymore). Powder coated really isnt nessicary for stock but I'm planning on getting their 340whp kit asap.

That sounds like a mix up, you don't powder coat headers.

If you want them to last they should be built in 321. Vital for a track car. 304 might work for a street car but in the end they are likely to crack.

I believe he is talking about the thermal (ceramic?) coating that is an option from Lindsey, not actual powder coating.
