Is there a wheel guide for best offset for width on an 86?
Wanting to start looking for wheels and need to know what offset I need to make it work. Thinking of an 18" wheel with 275 rear tires and 255 fronts. Probably 8/9 wide on the front and 9/10 wide no the rear. I can order custom wheels if I don't find what I like, but need to know what offset to order them too. Does anyone have any feedback on this? Even just letting me know what other 86 owners have that works would help. When I did a widebody Audi I made a CAD drawing to reflect information I found and was able to dial it in that way.
Any help would be very appreciated!

While I'm sure there's newer info out there I found this useful.

I've run 18x10/12" wheels with 255/285mm tyres on '86 951. These had 35mm offset front/rear. Puts most of the extra width on the inside. Needed 2.5" coilovers in front. Fender-lip rolled on all four corners.

Thanks for the information guys, that will help me out. I just need to know what has worked for others and then I'll be able to hammer out the details on what I need. I'm a sucker for 5-spokes on these cars, and am thinking to pony up for the Fiske FM5's as the custom wheel closest to the RUF wheels I love.
Oh, and I own an Eastwood fender roller so no problems there!
