A LSD and good winter tires makes the 944 a great winter car .

my 89 turbo looks similar, lots of snow and a 200 mile around trip twice a week in the midwest will cause that look, but add snow tires and she does great. thats why i bought her to drive her, so the 88 turbo S with 55,003 miles can sit indoors all winter.

When i brought my 951 i was driving it home and i got caught in a white out and spun it twice about 5 miles from my house going in a straight line, traveling at 15 mph.
Drove mine back from WI in Feburary, like a madman.. not a problem.

A German car in snow, say it's not so!

Porsche did make ski racks for the 44/51's.

Default snow bunny 951

i drove my 86 with snow tires all around for 3 winters the only thing that stopped me was 4 inches or more and OH! yeah that ice patch too close to a brick wall haha! now I use a jeep and keep the new 951 for nice weather
but probably the best snow car after my 88M3 that I drove for 5 NYC winters
Mike
