OK for 951 to be started and stopped frequently?

Burning Brakes
don't know if this offers any help, i use mine as a daily driver and i've had it since 2001. i frequently start and stop the car, it's only 2.5 mile to work and avg speed limit is 25 mph. i have not experienced any major problem.
though i did replace the starter bushing for the first time and the po said this is the firtst time it had to be done to the car. the car has well over 117,000 miles on it. once or twice a month i do take her out and just let loose, i also make it a habit to pull the plugs and clean the air filter once a month as far as oil is concerned i replace it every 3,000 miles or 3 months w/c ever comes first.
up to today she's still running well

Modena 1,
Will you be working with Maserati or Ferrari in Englewood?
I would say make sure the cooling system is working within specs and you "should" be ok. I've recently started to drive my car to NJ everyday, and so far so good, though I can't seem to find my boost (see thread).
Hugh,
Ever since you told me about the tow hook trick, I've been tooling around town with mine on too. But what would happen if some guy in a Honda backs into one of our cars and gets a hole poked in his rear bumper? I don't want to think about it...

You could always switch your daily driver for a daily rider. I cycle to work everyday (yep even in -30°C). On most days I can get to work faster on my bike than I could in the 951. I find that I worry less about my car if I don't drive and park it on the street. The worst parts are the exhaust that you might have to breathe and the occasional rainy/snowy days.
Just a suggestion.

Who said new yorkers aren't nice. Just slip the parking attendants $20 a month and have him park your car in a corner spot. The tow hook trick dosen't work because there is an 80% suv rate in the city. The bumper will be fine it's the hood you have to worry about. As long as you take the westside highway into the city you should do fine on the ball joints. Good luck.
