Hello all
I am trying to do some research before I drop cash on a turbo. So far I have determined that a stage 1 type turbo like SFR/Huntlry stage 1 is the way to go. Does anyone know what trim these vendors use for this stage of kit.
If the trim on these units is user definebale, what trim should I be looking for for quickest spool up and enough flow to support 350rwhp with MAP and 55 or bigger injectors. After doing my research I found that most agree that I could probably do with a T04B is about 20 psi but that would be it.
For their there stage 2 units do SFR/Huntley/Vitesse etc use T04B's with different trim than stage 1 or T04E's??
I read in one of the previous posts that Guru's 364 kit will use a T04B, I thought that the B was a bit small to support 364rwhp unless it is run outside its sweet spot at very high pressures >20psi. If guru can package it such that is makes this amount of power with the quick bottom end then thats great. If so then maybe I should wait.......

I do not now about the SFR and Huntley stages but
The Guru 364 is a T04e
TonyG has a
and is close to 400 RWHP.
The Guru 364 is a T04e
GURU-364 Upgrade Kit - Stg.2 MAP kit + 65-lb/hr injectors + new Garrett TO4E turbo (not rebuilt or hybrid <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[nono]" /> ). Preprogrammed matched components for simple drop-in installation.
Garrett T04, .70 A/R, P trim, w/ T04-B 60-1 HI-FI

We use TO4E and TO4B housings but the difference is negligible as far as performance. The TO4B is more compact and is therefore easier to fit. When we get up to the larger stage III+ sizes we go with the TO4E to accommodate the higher CFM ratings and larger wheels. Stage I and II use the TO4B. We use 50 trim, 57 trim, TC61, 60-1 and 62-1 usually in the Hi-Fi wheels as well as T series units for the big boys. The thing we pioneered last year was the 'bullet' tips and lightweight wheels. This helps the efficiency of the compressor and transient response respectively. Plus we have been making these longer than anybody else, we designed them in the first place!
