The LeMans 924GTP has always been my favorite, I never tire of seeing the details.

Question 1; Did you reinforce the firewall @ the master cylinders?

Question 2; What are your plans for a fuel cell?

Happy to read you enjoy our work

Concerning the firewall we did not reinforce it. The thickness in this zone is nearly 2.5 mm and i made the master cylinders frame in order to have the fixations in the radius of the stamped boss for more resistance.

The fuel cell is completely inspired from the original. Aluminium coated with fiberglass. It's now on the car.

Last find of the week this picture of Teloche garage in Le Mans 1981.
Hope you will enjoy it too.

Interesting pic Rom. Assume that's a 936 in the foreground. Quite a lot of nose on that car before you get back to the driver. It's successor (956) appears to have a much shorter nose by comparison.

Back to your wonderful build. :-)

Feet still ahead of the front axle though... Priorities didn't change until the 962!

Yes, definitely. I was thinking more in terms of aero and weight.

This week end was the finalization time for some elements of the car.

Front air duct is now fully adjusted on the car and ready to receive coolers.

Happy to see the result mostly when you know we started from this some years ago

We also had the time to assembled the turbo exhaust line ... and it's now fitted on the car.

To finish and because we had time to waste we finished the fitting of rear calipers

Beautiful work yet again! Correct me if I'm wrong but are the rears wider than the original? They look Monster Wide!

Thank you guys.
Yes right , they are wider than the 80's and 82's models.
Only the 944 LM is wider than the others.
The body of this car is unique not the same front and not the same rears. It asked several hours of modeling and sanding.
Concerning the turbo it's a GT35. KKK were unfortunately too expansive for us.

Hello guys,

Sorry, it has been more than 1 month i didn't give any news about the car. Summer is every time a busy period.

First of all i need to share our last experience to heaven. A week end unmissable for all the passionate of race cars, of course i'm speaking about the 24 hours of le Mans.

Thursday tests were the opportunity to be near from the cars and particulary near from the winner PORSCHE with the first 4 cylinders engine since the 924 GTP

ok i'm hearing you: " please froggy stop your F*** horrible english and lets share your PICTURES "

The calm before the saturday storm

I thought it could have been the winning car but race decided in another way

Some others for pleasure

I have to say that see so beautiful machines during 3 days gave us a boost of motivation and we're now proud to say that the bodywork of our GTP is nearly finish. We received the windscreen and finalized the rear of the car. Finally the Le Mans rear wing we made is not so far from the original.

Front headlights are on the car only for the validation and everything is OK

OK it's not a Le Mans' 2015 pit but more a 1981 workshop ... The Vintage is in the air

This picture is of course only to show my beautiful Picasso. Please enjoy. 1.6 Hdi 110 cv (and maybe now approx. 70cv)

NEXT STEP ...

I hope you'll enjoy it.

Some news after summer holidays. Cars will have to wait ...
