Default WTB: 951 Splitter

I am in the process of collecting parts for my car. I am looking for a used splitter for my car. My "bat wing" is a bit beat up, so I want to go the splitter route to replace it. I am looking for one that is good shape that someone might have lying around in their garage. I figured I would try looking for used before buying a new one. Thanks.

I got an aftermarket one for $100 on ebay. Stock ones can be pricy

Mmm, that is an option to consider. How easy was it to install? Did it require any modifying?

All that needs done is to drill some holes in it to bolt it on in the factory location holes (where the stock one bolts on). And to trim off some extra material on each end. When I put it on, the ends hung into the wheel well about 2 to 3 inches. The material there is at it slimmest point and took a few seconds a side to trim it down with a hack saw and sand it smooth. Very easy to work with. This whole process takes maybe a half hour

Did you replace the Batwing or does this fit on top of it?

I completely replaced it on my car. Though other people have used the stock one in conjunction with the new piece. But to clarify, you do not need the original batwing to install the aftermarket piece as it fully replaces the stock one, it also gives you a lot more access on the under side of the car in that area

Leaving off the batwing after changing the belts resulted in the steering feeling very light at 150, I wouldn't run at high speed without it again.

These are images from another rennlister who did the same mod.

I installed mine, never had any issues at any speed, and I run the hell out of my car. That's just my experience. I saw the post above before doing mine. All is well.

It does sit a tad lower than the stock one but its not bad. I have scraped it before but it doesn't show any signs of it. The material is fairly strong. I'd recommend it to anyone.
