Default Temp guage question

When driving the temp guage flucuates, from just below the first line to just below the second line, never overheats but jumps up and down.

Any thoughts? Something I should worry about?

Thanks for the help.

That's just the fan kicking in and out. Mine does it too driving around town.

It's normal. Mine is on the first line most of the time. When at 160mph for 2 minutes it's on the top line.... time to back off!

If it's actually jumping (like bouncing) around, then it may be a bad ground... fairly common problem. Do a search of this forum on "ground" to locate all the grouding points (there are a bunch) and clean them up... (Main one for instruments is under the dash on the driver side above the hood release.)

There's also a tech proceedure on the Paragon website (I think) that details how to clean up the grounds inside the instrument cluster.

Finally, if you want the ultimate ground solutions, take a look at the wiring kits from "IceShark" (fellow Rennlister) at the "Guru" web site (www.gururacing.net I think). Really nice stuff.
