Devon just power/touch the leads off the battery. You will hear it click. Have my doubts solenoid is issue as pretty bullet proof

Nope. When I was going through trying to work out what was wrong with my set up(jnr mechnic who was sacked shortly afterwards, had put WG on backwards) the guys at turbo smart were saying they virtually never go bad, and as long as it clicks, its good.

If I had the wg on backwords will I still get spring pressure? When I have it hooked up with out the controller I get 1 bar of boost and I have a 1 bar spring... So it must be installed right way correct

Correct in that you would over boost not see spring pressure. When I bypassed my EBC by going single port, mine was still over boosting, when like you, I should have seen spring pressure which is what led me to suss out my WG was incorrectly installed
