can't go wrong.
The only thing i don't like about it, is if you're going to do it again. Cleaning it will be a mess. I've had to reseal my balance shaft cover a few times because of a crack. And the loctite has no mess.

Hmmm, good point. I may look around town tomorrow, when I have more time to search. I hate paying shipping costs, for single items.

I know. Unfortunately, where I live, the places that carry locktite, are large chains, and pronounce the word Porsche, with one syllable, and a nasty look. I haven't found one that can even order it for me. The best internet price I found was 32 bucks, shipped.

How much is shipping?
I try avoid using the word "porsche" and make up a story why i need it.
If you're close to an industrial area, usually a fasteners (nuts, bolts screws) supplier will be able to get it in. (those small stores with a huge catalogue)

I didn't use the word Porsche. What I'm saying is there just isn't any place around here, that is convenient, that will stock the stuff. It goes for about 25 bucks for 50ml. If they don't stock it, they won't order it, or are not allowed to. Yes, that is stupid, but that's the way it is in NASCAR territory.

I have also had very good results using Threebond 1104 which is really the same as Hondabond and Yamabond. Both are used for sealing metal to metal aluminum case seals. It does not leak if applied properly. http://www.threebond.com.au/liquid-gaskets.html
