I don't believe there's any overwhelming evidence that supports this idea.

I'm not sure the exceptions help the new owners form a realistic view of what reliable power actually is.

the high power engines require a lot of tuning, parts, repairs, rebuilds, hours off the road, and expertise.

You were speaking about liters and power. BMW got 1500hp from 1.5 liter 4cyl engine in 1986 if you want vintage engine.

I don't think you are the person to teach new owners being that your hands on engineering experience with car engines is 0 and you don't and never have worked on them.

Just leave new owners alone. You never owned a turbo so just do us a favor and stfu until you do.

Its not about power, its about turbo. You just don't get that.
