Default racers edge caster block wear?

I've been trying to track down a suspension clunk in my steering at low speed.
my right front wheel has a lot of side to side play. After examining the steering rack and ball joint on the a arm, I noticed play in my caster block. I have what I think are racers edge caster blocks (looks just like em). Am I correct to assume that there should be no play in the bearing itself on the caster block? if there is, are these just trashed?

Low speed clunks that I experienced were my upper strut mounts. I would hear it intermittently around low speed corners, changed them out for camber plates. That said, the caster mount should be solid so if you can move something at it, there's a problem.

I've got racers edge camber plates, and they are solid. looked at the caster block some more. the spherical bearing seems ok, but the entire assembly is a bit loose inside the aluminum block. in fact, if I spin the bearing the assembly spins inside the block, instead of the bearing spinning inside the assembly. ugh. they are some decent $$ too

Yup. They wear out and you need to repair them. We've had to do it a couple of times. Call RE and see what they say.

The pocket for the spherical does wear. I had my set 'rebuilt' a few years ago, i sent them back and Karl replaced the housings for $50 with postage back.
