Joshua, I got it as close as I can. The logger shows it dithering like 40 RPM.

Here is the log during adjustment.
idle adjustment.xdl.zip

This log shows me starting/driving the car after letting it cool down for 45 minutes.
hot start.xdl.zip

Idle is right around 880 RPM after starting but after a few revs it's back at 1000. A few times during my drive it would randomly idle back at 880.... The TPS is always triggering the idle switch and the throttle body does not feel sticky.

It isn't far off... The ISV might not have enough adjustment to always lower the idle at the current idle screw setting.

Try resetting the idle, but this time instead of adjusting it to 880rpm, set it a little low, like 750 RPM. Then lets see if that gives the ISV enough adjustment room.

To the OP: do you have the tuner?

I seem to recall the idle hang was actually a function of how hard the car was driven and from what revs you were at before closing the throttle. Blip the car to 1500 and it returns to 850 quickly. Rev it to 5000 and chop the throttle and it holds at 1200 a bit. In my experience it did this longer if the car was hot.

I'll have to look at my tables but I made a small adjustment and got it running to my liking without much hang. I think what you're experiencing might really be "normal" for the base tune. If you have the tuner let me know, I'll take a look at what I changed.

No I don't have the tuner. I will buy it at some point though.

It only hangs when it is cold and the injectors are not being turned off when you let off the throttle. I don't have any issues when it is warmed up.

As far as the idling goes, I set it to around 700 and it idles perfect except when starting hot. It will idle low for a few seconds then catch up and it's fine. This might be normal though, I don't know.
