I guess I need some of those 1" thick glasses, now I see Reno's exposed ground wire. Getting old sucks! Yes, my harnesses have no such issues, even on the grounds. I am definitely not going to burn my car to the ground to see if they survive, but that was another Lart FUNNY!

+1, not exposed wires.
I have this kit too and it's great. I've never had an Iceshark to compare to though. I know John spent a LOT of time figuring out what wire to use and make sure it retained flexibility. Seems like Iceshark used/uses an 'inferior' welding cable compared to John's.

No real need for the thermal cover on the SGX coated wire, it is rated to 125C (257F).. if you have thermal jacket on PVC jacketed cable that sees these temps, the PVC would melt anyway!
FWIW, the class K welding wire used by a previous battery cable offering is rated to 90C (194F)...
