Default Does the windage tray complicate rod bearing servicing?

Do you have to undo the main fasteners in the crank case and risk breaking the loctite 574 seal to service the rod bearings once a windage tray has been installed?

I know I can change them with a crank scrapper... What is the design of the windage tray you have?

I don't have one, I have the scrapers. I'm considering one, or building one for the scrapers I have.

By the way, how is the teflon blade mounted to the scraper is it sandwiched between 2 or 3 metal blades?

From what I can see you would have to undo the main stud nuts to remove it. Would that not compromise both the torque sequence and the sealant?

You dont have to undo all of them, so in theory the girdle should stay in place.

Yes, my understanding is that it is sandwiched between 2 steel plates.

I don't understand the purpose of this kind of windage tray on 944.

Why would it need to be here?
