The weld on my stock downpipe pipe has cracked. Just need to confirm that it is made from SS304 so that we can weld it.

I'm not sure it is inconel, but it is easy to check if you go to your local scrap yard they should have a nifty device that literally reads the metal and tells you the composition. That is how I was able to confirm that the headers and x-pipe ar incoloy 800 a form of inconel.

its inconel for sure, at least mine was, +1 for TIG welding.
