I am picking up car after having Tial F38 dual port fitted. I have an eboost controller and just wondering what is safe level to set overboost protection to ?
I am running a stock K26/6 turbo and was thinking that 16 or 17 PSi would be ok but would rather make sure it is safe than having it too high. I will keep boost low till I fit a wideband but don't want to have wrong setting for overboost protection
TIA

The k26-6 safely caps around 16 - 18 psi max. Anything over that and youll be smoking bearings in it in no time. If sticking with the stock turbo, id place the protection at 18 and safely run 16. Ive worked the k26 series turbos to the bone and have personal pushed them to the point when the bearings cut through the shaft like lathe, separated in two. 18 psi for that turbo is pushing it hard, probably not recommended but they can handle it in short bursts, you should be fine to run it all day at 16 psi.
