Why is this 928 painted OEM wheel crest actually cheaper than a more standard, black and silver one of the same type? I was looking to get new wheel crests, and found that my phone dial center caps have a 928 part number for an 86 951. So I looked for colored ones for a 928, which theoretically should fit (and were probably offered as an accessory in 86 anyway). Low and behold, the COLORED ones are cheaper. I verified the price across multiple dealers.
Why? Are they plastic?
