Which way would you go? Bilstein or Koni?

Geez...I haven't posted here in a while. I've had both and prefer the Escort set-up over the Koni's but it is pretty stiff. The koni's were a bit softer of a ride which was nicer on the street but the escort set-up really makes the car feel planted. I have Charlie arms, welt bars & delrin busings, ground control camber plates, 400/550 spring (IIRC) with stock t-bars, elephant racing spring plates, and 18" wheels so it's not as forgiving driving around town.

Shocks
Tj, since the car is used for DE, I suggest koni fr sport inserts and if you want rear coilovers, konis also. single adjustable fronts and rears. As for spring rates, touchy suject, Mantissport does not run spring rates that are mentioned , and the fr/r ratio is all WRONG. We only use Eibach springs, lighter weight and do not take a set. If you buy from Mantis we will set the shock damping and supply the proper spring rates. You will have a good starting point. We have been tuning 944's since 1990 from DE and race. check out www.mantissport.ca
