Brembo or Zimmerman????
Just interested in everyone's choice in brake rotors and pads???
I have used Zimmerman and Ferodo in the past and have been very pleased........ I was thinking about changing to a Brembo set up.
Does Brembo make a rotor / pads that will fit a stock 951 caliper???
Thanks,
Paul

Actually a little of both........ 70% street 30% track
As the car gets more modified.... Then it will become more of a track car.

I know that my Porsche brakes are made by Brembo, and I'm pretty sure they made the non-s 951 calipers, so finding Brembo rotors for you calipers should be easy. I would pick Brembos over Zimmermans but thats personal preference.
As far as brake pads go, I was using stock 993 pads on the track (which fit the 951s brakes), but they have pretty much fallen apart after my last event. So I'm getting Pagid orange's from the PO. If I wasn't getting these for free, I would definitely buy Performance Friction 97's because they are probably just as good and a lot less money. But these are both track pads. So for a mix, I'd say the Ferodo's are good. I have heard from others on the board that the brake dust from Hawk Blue's is harmful to your wheels if you don't wash it off relatively quickly. HTH

I'm also busy to get me some new brake rotors and pads and read on several sites about cryonetically treated rotors. Does anyone also has experience with this and does this treatment also have any effect on the choice of the brake pads.
