This is probably going to offend most of the purists and track guys, but I am not into that (at least not yet), and since I have loved car audio since I was 15, I have commissioned a build from one of the best installers in Cali. I have enough pictures to start the thread now. I was hoping it would be completed by the time I got back from Bangkok, but as usual with these big projects it is going to run over. I also made some modification requests mid build, "While you were a in there kind of stuff" which is taking more time. In addition to the audio, a new for 2014 Clifford Smartphone compatible multifunction alarm will be installed. Some features include remote start, GPS tracking, auto window up and down, hatch, remote start with warm-up and adjustable turbo timer cool down. I have went with three manufacturers on the audio side; Alpine, Illusion Audio, and Audison. I have scrapped the rear stage all together. I will use a three way component system in the doors. Each speaker will have its own channel on the amp, digitally crossed over via a great piece from Audison. No passive cross overs will be used. The sub will get a clean 1000 watts via its own mono channel also digitally crossed. All sound will be tuned via the Bluetooth real time analyzer feature of the Audison digital sound field processor and software. The entire car was prepped and insulated/isolated with Focal and Black Hole products, damn pricey but hopefully worth it. Still a ways to go, but here are some pics so far:

Nice work. I like the door pod as it will look very much how it would have been if done from factory. I have never been a fan od build outs that contrast with design cues the car already has, so yours looks great. It is the hallmark of a good installer IMO. Down here cutting of the doors would cause road worthy issues(if caught) so not something we could do here.

I like your choice of equipment. I'm assuming it is a bit one processor ?
Anyway it looks like everything is being done to a high standard and should result in some great highSQ sounds

Strange for someone as young as you! Get out and live a little, Ha! Not much else stock on your car, why leave the audio alone? This car is my DD in Cali and we have horrible jams, so tunes are a necessity.

funny as you say. the body is stock, and not perfect haha. Dent there scratch here (not much you can do about it)

But the audio system isn't stock. It just appears to be stock. the audio budget is a little different then the engine haha!

I'm running an Eclipse CD5030. I love it. had it for 4 years. It does what i want it to do. My front stage are Soundstream SST4.6. I'll probably put them for the rears also as i don't want to cut or modify anything.

I still have junk audioline amps running my system. But funny enough i've had them for easily 7 years and i have put them amps though hell. Cheap power pretty much. I have a cheap 10" sub in a sealed custom box made to fit in the spare tyre compartment.
It sounds great. But the amps and sub will go and be replaced with an Alpine PDX-V9 4 channel stereo + 1 channel mono and a focal 10"

I have the sub for the extra kick. The front stage produce some decent midbass but not enough. with 4 of them, it'll be better.

But at the moment, i've tuned my system by eat and personal preference. I have the time alignment adjusted also. Ideally for me it sounds like i have no sub at all. Just some powerful speakers. very solid sounding and not overkilled by mid bass which most newer cars are IMO

the only thing not "appearing" stock in my interior is the gauges and speaker grills. the gear shifter is aluminium but i'll get around to getting that wrapped in leather.

Paul: I love the Alpine PDX V9, excellent choice. Don't think it can be beat for the money. I have one and the older V5 as well.

We considered the A-pillar location. He mocked up the install and ran a sound analysis prior to deciding the stock location provided better imaging. Not to mention, it saved me an extra $2K in labor costs. Honestly, I don't care for the looks of the A-Pillar installs either, even though most do sound better. I might want to use the A-pillar for gauges later on after seeing my FL car. I thought I would hate it, but just the opposite, I love it.
