Default Oil Pressure

I just had my 86 951 repainted by an excellent shop, but after driving for 50 miles or so I parked in my garage. The next day the oil pressure would not rise and stayed at 0. I have looked around, but to be honest, I don't know where the normal things to look at are. Where is the sender unit, and does anyone have any ideas on what, besides the obvious, this could be.

sender unit is just below the oil filter, two wires. Sometimes they break, this could be your problem. I bought a whole new unit for less than $50 IIRC. First Post? Welcome to Rennlist!

When sender unit fails it usually stays on top mark not 0 bar.

Does your motor sound like it has oil pressure, or is it noisy?
