Default Hp/tq gain question.

Hi, I'd like to know what kind of rwhp/tq can I expect out of a 1986 951 with chips, dual port wastegate, 3bar fuel pressure reg and a 3" exhaust without cat ?

Thank you !

anywhere from 250 to 280 rwhp and from 250 to 300 rwtq. depends on how good your turbo is, your engine condition, wastegate, tune ect.

You wont run the k26/6 past 15 psi. Just dies off to 11-12 psi to quickly.

Does it worth installing a turbo down pipe or it's a $400 to the trash ?

IMO Useless as the ID of the stock down pipe is the same as the ID of the turbine housing outlet.

MIT be worth giving this a go

http://www.augmentautomotive.co.uk/augtronic

I've got it on mine 26/8 running 1.3 bar and hold it to at 6k
I've got stage 2 intercooler Portland polished manifold and throttle body
80lb injectors
High flow fuel pump
Tial 38 Dpw
Apexi ebc
Map
Wide band

I've not dyno mine yet. A low speed roll start 10/100 in 10 secs

Tom made 330 hp on 26/6 at 1.1 bar but I think he only got 300 hp dyno sheet up.

how do you make 330 rwhp on a 26/6 when it doesn't even flow enough air to produce that power?

Personally, I think you guys are very optimistic... I've dyno'ed several turbos, and found that a stock car will make about 200 WHP. You can see on this chart that it took quite a lot of extra boost to make 250 whp (and that's a good running car (technoduck)).

FWIW, I've had nearly a dozen 951s on my dyno - all with different mods - and none have broken 300 WHP.

To the OP, I'd say you're at 200 WHP now, and with a chip - and your other stuff - you'll get up to 220 WHP.

Can you list the mods done?

These were from 2010...

The green, technoduck's car, had quite a bit - certainly exhaust, chips, and so-on. I think he had a different turbo, too. I don't recall if he had the AFM or a MAF, thought.

The red was a 100% stock car.

And the blue was my turbo, which had chips, LBE and 3" straight pipe exhaust.

Just to note. When i had my k26/6. I had the following:
MBC
TiAL 38mm
Factory euro (no cat) exhaust
Huntley Racing chips
AFMLink piggy back (0 restriction to the turbo)
FMIC

I would get 15 psi @ 2800 rpm. My car would walk on a factory VZ Monaro from a roll at 80 km/h Even modified ones with cams ect. Just to put it in perspective how powerful my 952 was with the stock turbo.
