I found this fs thread, its not really closeup, but some details can be seen..

Seems like this flat spot is very dominant on 2.7 head.

And some other web pictures, 2.7 vs GTR vs stock turbo (my head and my clumsy attempt at port matching ):

Interesting that GTR design is completely different than 2.7.

This guy is selling brand new one but he has a really nice price attached to it

http://www.ebay.com/itm/PORSCHE-944S...18073c&vxp=mtr

Maybe upon request he would send some more pictures.. Judging by his ebay name fst951 he could be interested in this thread also..

What "flat spot" are you all taking about?

I have a spare and complete 2.7 head that was apparently never taken apart since it left the factory, but it just came off a 100k mile engine and as such is not picture-worthy.

Thom,

A better term is D shape. I would be very interested at seeing a picture down inside the 2.7l intake port like the one shown below:

fst951 may be Garrity. Definitely looks to be someone who has been around a long time and is currently at Motorsports Inc in Salt Lake. fst951 responded back asking me what exactly I was looking for. Hopefully he will send me a few pics. If he does I will post them up.

My mistake I was using I phone. Thought you were talking GTR head not 2.7.
