Van,

I'm sure you're right, but since I'm effectively starting from zero, I guess I'll leave the bars as is, and make believe "preload" on the springs is correct and see where it gets me. I figure this is gonna be a long term project, so getting the car to where its derivable (if not track-able) is a first step. The rear being so low, it seemed to be bottoming under WOT, so getting the *** end up is gotta be a step in the right direction.

Regards,

doug

Update: measurements on the passenger side are:
rear control arm bolt: 5.25 inches vs 130 mm = 5.118 inches,
height to center of of torsion bar cover: ~280 mm vs 230 stock.

The front tire is a 285/30-18, so the delta over the stock 205/50-16 is less than 0.01".
The rear however is 335/30-18, so the height delta over the stock 225/50-16 is about 1/2 inch.

Surprisingly, even though the front should be sitting at the stock height, the front fender opening looks too high (its GT racing CF), and the control arm looks like it might be sitting too low.

I wonder if there is a difference in the locations of attachment points between the 86 and 87 hub that I swapped (to get the beefier stub axle)?

In the rear, it looks like its too high, but I need to see what if anything seems to be hitting when I WOT at low speed and the rear end squats, cause it sounds like something is "grakking" back there when I WOT at low speed and the rear end squats.
