Default Considering a wastegate & electronic boost controller

Any crowd favorites here? I'm looking at the LR one and a number of different controllers, it's going in the glove box as I do not want tokyo-by-night effect in the cabin.

Are the plates easily obtained?

I have a Tial 38mm with adapter plates and an Apexi Avc-R electronic boost controller available.

Second that. Mine came with adaptor plates from europarts etc. Make sure you get metal rather than paper gaskets for the adapter plates.

I run a Tial 38 and at one point had a GReddy PRofec B Spec II controller. Once I figured out how to set it up it worked pretty well. Unfortunately I had a zip tie fail under the hood (I had a whole batch of "bad" ones that would let go on their own) and all the wiring I had tied up for the solenoid fell, landed on the header, melted... and cooked the solenoid driver inside the unit. So I threw an MBC in and called it "done". The EBC *definitely* spooled up faster than the MBC, that's for sure... but the price difference is tough. I bought mine used off of Craigslist for $150 from some mechanic at a small ricer shop in Chicago.

Oh and I also mounted it in the glovebox. Same place I have my MBC mounted.

I had multiple zip tie failures, none was dramatic, but still, are there any military or aerospace zip ties available? Those cheap chinese ones are a disaster waiting to happen.

I'd love a EBC but the price is tuff to swallow, I'm running a LR dual port and LR MBC, I like it and it works for now.... What's the advantage of the Tial 38mm over the LR waste gates?

Aviation grade tefzel zip ties will put up with a lot more heat than the nylon ones.

I like my tial46 mm, but requires an adaptor or custom dump tube, the crossover is direct fit.

Never mind an electronic boost controller, it just puts a bunch of electronic controls on a mechanical device....stuff you don't need, especially the junk from Greddy.

Get a manual boost controller and a calibrated boost gauge.

TiAL 38mm I had adaptor plates but i ended up making my own flanges so now it's direct bolt on to my exhaust.

eBoost2. Expensive but great. I love the controllability. change boost levels with a flick of a switch!
