How do you remove the oil lines from the filter console (on an S2, but presume 951 is similar)? There is a 27mm union between the housing and line and a 32mm fitting on the end of the line. Is the 27mm union reverse threaded on one end? I have been trying to free this by countering the 27mm and 32mm against each other with no luck.
What's the trick?

What a crap design. I had to remove the whole console while removing the engine as the oil lines bound and got quite kinked.
How long can oil lines be expected to last? I'm debating whether to just replace them with the later style that can be removed easily, but not cheap at $400

Some people suggest replacing the S2 console with the 951 console - that way you can use the metric to AN adapters, and use AN hoses (good for aftermarket coolers, or the PWR combo rad/oil cooler you're about to buy...)
