Great news-- congrats! High idle could be a number of things, such as:

--need to reset your base idle (with the diagnostic port jumper in place)

--TPS idle contact switch not adjusted or malfunctioning

--ISV sticking open or not working (or harness/DME not driving it properly)

--vacuum leaks!

I poked around and found that my blow off valve was not clamped down properly. It was able to slide up and down in the rubber tube it sits in. Tightened that down and I think it's better now. I'll know when I drive it around town tomorrow. I'm thinking that was why my smog numbers weren't great.

One symptom I had with the high idle is that my car would decelerate strangely. It was almost as if someone was taking mini jabs at the throttle under deceleration. A feeling of lots of engine braking and then none, lots of braking and then none etc. Sort of a slow wobble

I will diagnose the TPS when I have a minute. It clicks when the throttle is shut as it is supposed to.

I'm taking it to a local shop soon to have a full inspection. I will also have them check the vacuum lines.

Hopefully it's running smoothly soon. Still pulls incredibly hard
