Update: bolt is still stuck, going to get it out today, so while i was sitting infront of the engine thinking how stupid i was to use round head allen tools to unscrew these bolts, i looked closer at the timing belt, even tho it has almoust 18k miles on it, its in prettu bad shape not that threads are almoust flat, they look great, its just theyare coming off the belt..

Do yourself 2 favors:

1. Get a new Cobalt drill bit to drill it out.
2. Get a long 6mm L-shaped hex key, cut off the L part, and drive it (from the cut end) with a 1/2" drive 6mm 6-point socket, or a 3/8" 6mm 6-point socket with 1/2" ratchet adapter. The smaller the ratchet you use, the more likely you are to strain, side-load and strip the bolts out. Put the factory-clean end of the hex key in the bolt nice and squared-up, give it a solid tap or two with a metal hammer, then put the socket/ratchet on to remove.

For some reason, those bolts tighten up like crazy after being in there a while. Not uncommon for them to make a load cracking sound when you break them loose. Good luck!

Did you make any progress on this? I noticed there is a guy selling a cam tower assembly including the camshaft https://rennlist.com/forums/944-turb...rbo-parts.html - if it includes the key and sprocket that might help you, assuming you can get the cam tower off the car.

Took the bolt out

When i took of the cam tower i noticed some metal shards from drilling got into oil shaft, that might be troublesome to get out..

Did you try pounding in a correct sized Torx bit before drilling? I've had pretty good success with that method when allens strip out. Works really good on the bolts holding the turbo to the pedestal.

That's good news, but too bad about the exhaust wrap. At least it's easy to remove. I still have a wrap on mine, but the next time I have my headers off, I'll probably coat them instead.

I went a bit risky way and just let that oil burn up, fixed the vacuum and boost leak, found out that i forgot to tight the hoses up... it was a long night,

By the way i used offset woodruff key and advanced my timing by 4 degrees, woah what a difference! I can actually feel that car has more torque at low end rpms, before that i couldnt get into the hill on 5th gear now it goes up easly, and the car doesnt feel so dull anymore at low rpms

Can you tell me where you bought your offset key, and exactly which part you bought? Did it fit right in, or require any work?
