That was a bit on the insane side.
That is a great road but looks like someone was playing a bit too hard.
I have video of a friend doing the same thing in his Audi. There is a steep crown in the road right there, the Gravity Cavity. Have to be careful, you can tell in that first picture he is clearly being an idiot. You cannot see very far ahead on that road, seen lots of head-on close calls.

I really want to get a group together to go up to the Tail of the Dragon. I hear this road is awesome. Gravity Cavity shown below:

I so wanted to make this joke in my first post but realized I'd be making fun of myself in the process

I doubt a lesson was learned. I think a single vehicle tree accident on the street is an appropriate ending, I don't want a clown like that on track with me thanks.

California Ortega Hwy Rt 74 is not as forgiving, I drove in my 951 when I was 40 a few times.

@lart have you tried this section.http://www.lateralg.org/roads/orange/river1.htm. I have done this on a MC years ago . It was much nicer the the Elsinore to coast section.

The Dragon is fun, been down there before. Gotta watch out for all the idiots apexing over the centerline, and the occasional semi truck that gets stuck straddling two sections of road around a hairpin. Not to mention, I understand the cops have been cracking down HARD over the last couple years. Since it's a single road, they just wait for you on the other side.

I had more fun on the Cherahola Skyway.

Looks like he had a lot more tire than suspension. That thing is awfully compressed.

Yup. Just what you can expect pushing cornering to the limit on the streets....

Shaun if you do this let me know. There are some roads up there that put the dragon to shame. The dragon is way to busy and way to me idiots on it.

+1 on Cherohala Skyway and other roads up there.

Also, if anyone drives up and stays the night, I highly recommend this place. I've stayed twice and it's among my favorite 'hotels'.

Great hospitality, great location. BYOB IIRC.
