Stock 2.5 is out... brand new LS3 crate just arrived
Its amazing how small the block is considering the displacement size! wow.
Decided to do a complete rewire, strip the entire car, race dash, full cage, front end + firewall reinforcement, carbon flat bottom, widebody +2inch in metal on all 4 corners with venting and lots of other goodies. Arrrghh what the hell, why not!

Car is now stripped and the cage is just going in. Sun-roof delete is well underway.
Also the Cup Car project just got underway... engines out, roof is ready to be cut for the sun-roof delete and the cage will be going in soon.

cage is coming along nicely... Ernie (Mantis Sports) does great cage work, cant wait to see it finished.
Going for a slightly different design on the 951 LS3 car as this will be a track / autoX car not race car, the cup car will be an all out race car so the sidebars will be a more conventional design.

Looking good. If you're at that stage get them to tie the cage into the front strut towers also.

great minds think alike.. already in the works. Will be running the cage all the way thru and triangulating into the towers. Ernie has won several times in the 944 Cup and Continental series in his cayman so really knows how to build a mean cage and strengthen a race car. I cant wait to feel the difference of the stiffness the cage adds.
