Looking good, however; it would defeat the purpose of a "widebody" kit and not running wider front and rear tires with appropriately wider rims to match. You can run 10" wide in the rear with factory fenders. If you run 10" in the rear as is, you would probably run 8" in the front and those combo will look very odd on a wide bodied car. You should run like 10" in the front and 12" in the rear...

As above, you can run 10s in the rear but you would need to keep the offset such that the tire sits inside the stock wheel arch. That would look silly with the rear flares on there. I run my car around the garage with standard offset 10s on the back when I am not racing and it's not a good look.
Any wheel offset that puts the tire outside the stock wheel arch to take advantage of the wider track allowed by the flared guards will cause the tires to hit the wheel arches at stock ride height or lower. Contact with the arch during driving will not only rip your tires up, but cause some seriously unsafe handling problems. Without cutting the arches you would actually need to raise the ride height if you didn't want that to happen.
Below is a pic of my car with the flare off the car and the suspension wound up. Those are 12 inch rims with an offset designed to maximise the track width with the same flares you are using. My arches are cut and rewelded nearly two inches higher than stock. I run my ride height very low when racing so I end up with less than an inch clearance between the top of the tire and the arch, but I have 1100 pound springs back there that don't compress much. With stock or only slightly stiffer springs for road you would need a couple of inches clearance at ride height to be safe.

Would you suggest I stay with 18's rather than 19's?
I hear that 18's ride better on the road than 19's... the intended use is a wild street car that I can also Autox and track.
If I go with 10's in the front do I need to roll the fenders?
Any suggestions on which rims... I was looking at the Enkei's but they don't make 11" 5x130.
Patrick don't you run Enkei 18x10's all round with the same BF fenders, looking at your pics it didn't seem that your spacing looked weird? Also did you roll your fenders?
If the Enkei's are not an option, thoughts on 18" F 10's and R 11's VE Innsbruck, anyone run these?

The critical thing is offset not width. you could run 10s with enough offset to push them out to the edge of the flare and it would look more normal, but you would still have the problem with the stock wheel arches on the rear. 10s will fit on the front, again with the right offset you can fit them under the stock guards. With the front flares you can offset out about an inch or so, the flares aren't that wide. Guard clearance at the front will still be an issue. My front guards are fibreglass and cut up as high as possible under the flare.

I have a sweet set of 18x10(et40,21lbs) and 18x12"(et45,22lbs) TRM/Enkei forged wheels for sale, and I'm 'local'.....just sayin'

Sorry was aimed at PJR(Paul), I'm about 45 minutes from the GTA. And yes they're very nice light, strong wheels, and definitely need flares to run on a 951

Hi Paul
Sorry I missed this thread until now. Certainly did get a sense of Deja-Vu with some of your pics.
I have to concur with Steve on what he's saying. Thought we covered some of this before but I think you might run into some trouble without modifying / cutting your metal arches. On my old car when it was stock bodied, I ran those 10" Enkies all round. Had to roll the fenders to fit them. They are et 60. You might be able to find some OZ wheels with other offsets but I believe you will have to bite the bullet at some stage. When we used the same B/Foot kit as you both the back and the front arches were significantly cut to get as much room as possible. Even then I ran out of room on the front with 10.5" Fikses et 50 and had to raise the ride height (with dire consequences ) on both front and rear to cope. Now we have increased the fronts to 11.5" to run a square setup but have totally different bodywork to cope.

Well looks like I am going to have to learn how to roll fenders (not using a wooden B-ball bat!) as I like the idea of the Enkie 10's all round.
Can they just be rolled or do I need to cut as well?

To take advantage of all the work you're doing they probably need cutting but I guess you can try the rolling method and see how you go. Even when I did that my car sat higher than others down here.

Fenders are from Broadfoot... I love the rivet look to! Looks even better in person. I know some folks had a bad taste from BF's customer service level but I had a great experience. Product shipped out 2 weeks after I placed my order exactly when they promised and arrived on time. Actually nice FG parts compared to other venders!
I will take some more pics over the weekend of both the outside of the car and the door cards. I actually made the cards myself, its actually pretty easy. Gotta love Fabric land. I bought some black suede, red binding and then some basic hardware from Home depot and some spray glue. Key is taking your time whilst removing the old vinyl so as not to pull off chunks of the card or even rip it. Rest is easy.
