Default rear wheel bearings

hey guys , my rear wheel bearings are on the way out(started to make noise ) I just got a quote at my Porsche guy for 790.00 to do both sides. Does this sound about right??? seems kinda ouch to me but ya never know.....

Buy the tool from ARNWORX and do it your self . I have done a whole bunch of them over the years got down to a a few hours for both sides usually check the axles and grease while in there . Lindsey Racing has the bearings others as well prices vary a bit . $50.00 to $100.00 per bearing. I'm sure CLARK'S GARAGE has a write up on it.

I used the Arnnworx tool as well and it worked great. The hard part was getting the nut off.

When using a slide hammer to remove the hub, the inner race will remain on the hub shaft. That was my biggest PITA when doing mine.

Doesn't seem to far off, I got a quote from a shop before and it was $350 for labor, one side and me with the part. So two sides and bearings would be around $800.

Get the tool and do it yourself honestly its not bad, I did one and plan to do the other soon.

Thanks for the info guys ,this one is going to Deiter. i just dont have the space to do the job and am short of a few tools and patience.
